DR. YASH V. CHAUHAN

Dr. Yash V. Chauhan is a young and dynamic Endocrinologist and Diabetologist, working in Mumbai.

He completed his MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Kalwa, Thane and has internship experience from the same hospital and from K. J. Somaiya Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. 

He pursued post-graduate residency in General Medicine from the prestigious P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mahim, Mumbai. He has completed examinations from the Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom, granting him the much coveted MRCP (UK) diplomate.

Dr. Chauhan then gained valuable skills in managing intensive care patients by working in Department of Critical Care Medicine at Nanavati Superspecialty Hospital, Vile Parle, Mumbai. He further expanded his experience by working at P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mahim, Mumbai, as a Clinical Assistant, teaching post-graduate students and managing indoor and outdoor patients in Department of General Medicine.

He completed his super-specialty degree (DM Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism) from the prestigious Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai Central, Mumbai, securing first rank and gold medal in final examinations from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. He also completed examinations gaining esteemed degrees from National Board of Examinations (DrNB Endocrinology) and Royal College of Physicians of UK (SCE in Endocrinology and Diabetes).

He is an Assistant Professor in Department of Endocrinology at Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai Central, Mumbai, with responsibilities ranging from managing indoor and outdoor patients to teaching superspecialty residents.

He is active academically and apart from attending conferences, has various publications to his name and poster presentations in multiple national and international conferences.

He has vast experience in managing patients with various Endocrinology diseases. These include out-patients such as diabetes, thyroid, obesity and polycystic ovarian syndrome to more complex conditions such as parathyroid, adrenal tumours, Cushing syndrome, acromegaly and to critical emergencies such as diabetic ketoacidosis and adrenal crises.

Endocrinology concerns with the study of hormones and their glands in the human body. An Endocrinologist is a specialist, dealing with various diseases associated with glands and hormone release, including low hormone release (hypo-), excess hormone release (hyper-) or tumours of the gland.
